Action Packed Plett Life

Welcome to a day in the lives of our little Plett family...

Hello everyone! It feels as though it has been a long time since I last posted a blog. Life hasn't really been very "action-packed" for us lately, however, it has still been good.

On Friday, July 30th, Ryan's step-grandmother Dorothy Irene Johnston-Steel passed away. I didn't know her very well, but she was a kind woman, and I enjoyed her. She was ready to go, and she went peacefully in her sleep. We will be going to the funeral in Emerson on Thursday.

This weekend was spent in Emerson for Jeanne's Batchelor family reunion. We camped in Emerson at the park, and had a pretty good time with all the relatives. Highlights for me was the tour of Emerson in the Handi-Transit van with Ryan's uncle Doug, and having coffee on Sunday morning at his aunt Charlotte's place. I also braved the (broken) swinging bridge, and two treks across the border to Pembina - with only one resulting in a brief vehicle inspection (because we bought ice, a pizza, two hot rods, and Advil).

For the rest of the week we will try to keep cool, and wait for Terrilee and Brent's baby to arrive. So far the little shiester is almost a week late - must be a boy!
