Weather is a funny thing. For the last month we've had nothing but rain, and cold, dreary weather. Suddenly, as if over night, we now have an entire week forecasted to be hot, hot, hot! A high today for +28, and tomorrow a high of +31! Maybe we will finally be able to get into Frank & Jeanne's pool this summer, and who knows - maybe Ryan will have to go air conditioner shopping after all.
This weekend was a fairly relaxing one. On Saturday was my birthday, and we spent the morning sleeping in, and then headed to Wilson's Grill for brunch with my brother. The afternoon was really laid back, we just spent most of the day at home. Later in the evening, we headed into the city for Sam and Cherry's post-wedding party. It was a good time - got to see a lot of people. Ryan was once again surprised to find out how many people actually come and read this blog! It's a good thing, I love it! Sunday was another perfect sleep-in day, and we slept until Ang called around 11:00. Again, we puttered around the yard all day, and went for a nice motorcycle ride in the late afternoon. We had supper at C.K.'s, and after gorging ourselves on the buffet, we spent the rest of the evening bumming around at home. Darryl showed up around 9:30, and I served him and Ryan a nice cold Old Milwaukee on the driveway. He got a tour of the house, and seemed relatively impressed. And thus ended our weekend.
To any of you out-of-towners that might be around for a few more days: Ryan and I love drop-ins, so please, if you are in town, come by our place.
I was just chatting this morning on MSN Messenger with a friend of mine, Chad. He is currently in China with his dad, who is working on setting up a window plant there (like Loewen windows). He sent me this picture, which is making me totally jealous. I think it's time to head to China.
