We had a really nice Mother's Day weekend. It started out with a beautiful Friday evening bonfire at our place. James and Sherisse came by to join us, as well as Johni and Robin. Robin brought along some of her homemade black cherry wine, which was fantastic.
On Saturday morning, we woke up to thunder, lightning and rain - the perfect kind of morning to pull the blanket over your head and sleep in for another hour. Eventually we got up, and did some Saturday morning errands. I ended up at my mom's for tea. Late in the afternoon we left for the city, did some Mother's Day shopping and had supper at Applebee's. We then headed to the "Cheap Theatre" to see "The Aviator". It was a good flick, we really enjoyed it.
Sunday morning we went to my parent's church for the service, and for the parent/child dedication. Erik and Amber were dedicating Hailey, and we didn't want to miss it. We had lunch at my parent's place, and then went home for a nice Sunday afternoon nap. At 5:30 Frank & Jeanne picked us up, and we met my parent's and my grandma for supper at Tavern in the Park. We all had a wonderful dinner, and the company was great.
Looks like the rain is going to continue for a couple more days, but at least it's not snow - and we know Summer is on it's way!
