Action Packed Plett Life

Welcome to a day in the lives of our little Plett family...

Three signs that it is Spring...

My tulips coming up!

Geese returning from winter vacation. There were at least 15 groups like this in the air when the photo was taken!

Dirty, melting snow.

It is finally starting to look a lot more like Spring! Yay!

My mom's artwork has really been evolving lately. I am really enjoying her new style - these two are my favourites right now. You can see more about it on her blog.

Lilies - This original is hanging at Country Graphics right now, and is getting so many compliments!

Koi Pond - I'm the proud owner of this original painting. I just love the style and colours!

With all my heart, I do believe this.

This weekend was super relaxing. We did almost nothing at all on Friday, and most of Saturday too. Saturday evening I prepared a delicious dinner for two - crisp skinned salmon with citrus sauce, buttered spinach and bistro fries, paired with a lovely Sonoma Valley Chardonnay. It was a pretty good dinner if I do say so myself!

On Sunday morning we ventured out to Springs church for the 9:00am service, and then enjoyed lunch at Perkins. We headed straight home after that, because we couldn't wait to have an afternoon nap. In the evening we met up at C.K. Café for Chinese buffet with friends, Terrilee, Brent and Emery, Sherisse and James, Erik, Amber and Hailey. We found it quite funny that our meal times have turned into taking turns holding Hailey (who has her own blog too), and walking around with Emery! It was all about the kids - but it was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we went over to Terril and Brent's for some yummy blueberry cheesecake, and good conversation.

I also found out that my Chamber of Commerce blog made the front page of the local paper today!

My tiger lily in full bloom for Easter.

Hanging with baby Hailey.

Emery loving daddy's hat.

Oops!

Blinded Emery.

This weekend Ryan and I finally got a chance to see the new MTS Centre. The Moose lost in overtime, but it was still a great game.

We also got to spend some time with Jer, Bonnie and Gina.

Last weekend this huge Great Horned Owl came and sat on our tree. How could it balance on that tiny branch? How come the branch isn't bending?

Then a second owl came along, and sat on the other owl! Great owl-on-owl action! And still, the branch holds.

Hailey Mercedez Eidse

Congratulations to our friends Erik & Amber Eidse! They had a baby girl born March 1. Her name is Hayley Mercedes, and she sure looks a lot like her mom. Everybody is doing great, and we're really excited for you!

Wow, kids grow up SO fast! Here is the latest picture of Terril & Brent's baby, Emery. He looks like a grown-up, but he's just 6 months. We love him - he is so sweet and smiley.

Emery Randall Friesen, 6 mos.
